Denmore Roberts, Principal of TN Kirnon Primary School, has been placed on administrative leave following allegations of a serious nature.
According to sources, Roberts was initially placed on leave several months ago as the Ministry of Education launched a thorough investigation into the matter.
That investigation has now been concluded, and reliable insiders indicate that appropriate actions have been taken.
However, growing concern and unrest have spread among parents, many of whom have expressed fears that Roberts could be reinstated despite the gravity of the allegations.
Adding a new twist to the unfolding situation, Antigua.news has learned that Principal Roberts is reportedly preparing to take legal action against the government over the measures taken against him.

@Tamia Correct, this article doesn’t mention anything that would fall under that act. Only the authorities and the relevant parties at this point know what the actual accusations are. He could be accused and placed on leave for giving excessive corporal punishment to students for all we know. (Just giving a scenario, I have no knowledge of the charges either way)
First of all this law ANTIGUA and BARBUDA has about protecting the accuser is shitttttt. I understand the victim. But not the accuser. And listen to me…we need to stop being hypocritical. Nowhere in that story the crime was mentioned. Get over it.

Life is really a cycle. The dude was extremely critical of Carnival performers during his poor commentating on Observer media, especially calypsonians that didn’t sing songs bashing the government. I hope the allegations not true, cause his other brothers are respectable Principals. But either way, no one go trust him to be a Teacher, much less a principal for their female children ever again.

Sigh. Y’all don’t learn? The LAW says that people accused of sexual offenses cannot be named, primarily to protect the identity of the VICTIMS of sexual crimes. Nobody is saying y’all can’t speculate amongst yourselves in private. Antigua is a small country…but PUBLICLY posting or insinuating the identity of an accused person is a CRIME. So if y’all want justice, just hush na. If they’re convicted their name and picture will be published, don’t worry. Just relax. As we all know, the legal system is slow but deliberate. The amount of owls on my timeline is crazy 😂. Just relax.

I for one taught it might have been excessive force in administering corporal punishment. I am now wondering if it’s what is insinuated in the comments.

Good let me help you. And remember these principals are very wicked with disciplining people’s kids. Not because of law they cannot mention sexual offences. Cause if it was sexual offenses we would’ve seen a difference.

No way above I saw the story speak of sexual assault or allegations. So I don’t know what y’all talking about lawsuit and all that. Anything a teacher- anything a person with such profession do outside the box is a serious nature. I’m lost and want to know it’s about but I sit and wait for the good part. How the hell allyo calling his name and post his picture but, an entertainer’s case has gone to the High Court but, no name, no picture. Allyo see of hypocrites!
This situation has been blown out of proportion. I saw people sharing it like hot bread but from what I read its simple. The man was accused. The man was investigated. The man was removed. The allegations we dont know. What we know is that it was serious enough to have him fired. This is all i read. I dont know what is the big issue. People claiming it is sexual nature but I didnt read that.
I recall when Micheal Browne was accused of a “serious crime” the media kept calling his name but never said what the crime was. They kept repeating it was a “serious crime” but we all knew what that crime was. So in this case I dont see the big deal. They said serious allegations. Antiguans are the worse set of people. They see things that’s not on script but in their heads. Oh well.

Repeated actions with zero consequences
Whats all the emotions about? I read the story for the first time this evening and I saw nothing wrong with the storyline. The issue would be if the man wasn’t dismissed. Then he could challenge that. But other than this the story did not say what the allegations are. Ahhgggrrr. People give it a break!
This is an indictment on the teaching profession. I feel embarred about it.
We live in a place where people want facts and when it is given to them the they are afraid or judging the media house. I never saw sex in the article which I realize people are sending around. What I saw was allegations of a serious nature
I understand some persons can be malicious, but could it be the case that family, friends, or teachers of victim/s are speaking of sexual indecency because of what they know?!
