The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) has begun installing a new 14-inch HDPE transmission line along Herbert’s Main Road, stretching from Brownie’s to the Lightfoot East junction.
According to APUA, the project is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the island’s water distribution network and provide residents with greater service reliability.
Once completed, the upgraded line is expected to improve water flow and reduce the likelihood of service interruptions for communities in the area.

Progress looks good on us Antigua.
Upgrading the line is welcome, but APUA must also address leaks and old pipes elsewhere. Fixing one stretch won’t solve the bigger system-wide problems.
This is progress, but water rationing is still ongoing in too many parts of the island. Until that ends, people won’t feel the impact.
Good move by APUA. The water situation has been a struggle for too long, so every upgrade to the network is welcome. Hoping this means fewer disruptions and stronger pressure for the residents in that area.
Was really wondering what those pipes were for. APUA and public works ah workkkkkk
