30-Year-Old Anthony Joe has been arrested and charged in connection with the theft of coconuts and avocados from a Crosbies property.

According to reports, the Cassada Gardens Resident is said to have stolen three bunches of coconuts valued at $500 and a quantity of avocados worth $400 from the home of an elderly man between 28 and 29 August.

Police believe he gained access to the property through several holes in the perimeter fence.

Following an investigation, Joe was apprehended and charged, pending his appearance in court next week.

Authorities reminded the public that praedial larceny is a serious offence that harms farmers, property owners, and the nation’s agricultural sector, posing risks to food security.

Residents are encouraged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to their nearest police station.
