Police have charged 19-year-old Elohim Bloodman of Perry Bay in connection with an attempted armed robbery at a convenience store earlier this week.

Bloodman faces two charges; Assault with Intent to Rob and Attempting to Use a Firearm in Furtherance of an Offence; stemming from an incident that occurred on October 6, 2025.

According to reports, the accused allegedly armed himself with a gun and assaulted a woman during the attempted robbery. Following the release of a wanted bulletin, Bloodman later surrendered to police.

He has since been formally charged and is expected to appear before the court to answer to the offences.

The Police Administration has praised officers for their swift response and reiterated its firm stance against gun-related crimes.

“Unlawful possession or use of firearms will not be tolerated,” according to a statement from STRATCOM. “Anyone found in violation will face the full consequences of the law.”
