Free KDP Workshop to Be Held at the National Public Library During Inaugural National Authors' Week

The National Public Library will host a FREE Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) Workshop this week, on November 24th and 25th, 2025, as part of Antigua & Barbuda’s inaugural National Authors’ Week.

This workshop is a vital component of the “Ah Head Mek Book” (AHMB) initiative, aimed at aspiring writers and established authors seeking to delve into self-publishing. Participants will learn advanced strategies for leveraging Amazon’s KDP platform, including effective marketing techniques, branding strategies, and design principles to enhance book visibility in a competitive landscape.

Starting at 2:30 p.m. each day, the workshop will cover a comprehensive range of self-publishing topics—from manuscript preparation and formatting to cover design, distribution, and promotional planning. This is an excellent opportunity for both novice writers aiming to publish their first book, and seasoned authors looking to elevate their literary careers.

National Authors’ Week serves as a cultural milestone for Antigua & Barbuda, emphasizing creativity, literacy, and the storytelling traditions that unite communities.

With the theme “Building A Nation of Storytellers,” the workshop aims to inspire both new and experienced authors to bring their ideas to life and enhance their presence in the global literary arena.
