UPDATE: Five men arrested, firearms and ammunition recovered in a Nut Grove operation

A search warrant executed at a Nut Grove residence earlier this week resulted in the arrest of five men and the recovery of ammunition, suspected stolen property, and other items, according to reports.

The operation allegedly took place around 3:00 p.m. on December 23, 2025, at the premises of two residents in Nut Grove.

According to reports, investigators executed a search warrant on the property in the presence of the homeowners and several other individuals. During the initial search, one vehicle key, one cell phone, Eastern Caribbean and United States currency, and a pair of license plates.

The search reportedly extended to an open plot of land on the eastern side of the property, where two of the men were allegedly observed searching for something. Investigators reportedly discovered a black plastic container containing one magazine, several rounds of ammunition, two snap caps, and gun oils. Several articles of clothing and one black laptop were also allegedly found and seized.

A further search of one of the individuals allegedly yielded two gun oils.

According to reports, investigators also discovered a blue motor car on the southern side of the property, which is suspected to have been stolen.

An additional search of a motor vehicle driven by one of the men allegedly yielded one black magazine holster, which was seized for investigation.

Upon completion of the search, all five men—identified as residents of Nut Grove—were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

The individuals, along with two motor vehicles and the items seized, were reportedly taken to the St. John’s Police Station. Investigations into the matter continue.
