Air Peace to Launch Antigua and Barbuda–Nigeria Service Later This Month
Antigua and Barbuda is set to strengthen its air connectivity with Africa later this month as Nigerian carrier Air Peace prepares to launch scheduled flights linking the twin-island nation with Lagos.
Beginning May 25, the airline will operate twice-monthly flights between Antigua and Barbuda and Nigeria with a stop in Barbados, creating a new travel route between the Caribbean and West Africa.
Chief Executive Officer of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, Colin James, said the partnership forms part of broader efforts to diversify Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism source markets and expand the country’s global reach.
Officials believe the new route could open opportunities for tourism, trade and cultural exchange while strengthening Antigua and Barbuda’s competitiveness in an increasingly challenging global tourism environment.
Under the flight schedule, departures from Antigua will leave at 9 a.m., arriving in Barbados before continuing onward to Lagos with arrival scheduled for the following day. Return flights from Lagos will connect through Barbados before arriving back in Antigua.
Bookings for the service are already available through the airline’s website.
