Police are continuing investigations into a shooting incident at Swetes that resulted in the death of 40-year-old Richard Winfield of Swetes.

It was reported that around 10:30 pm on Friday, 7 February, a lone assailant approached several men on foot at St. Ann Road and fired multiple shots at them.

Two men, including the deceased were transported to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

Winfield succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 11:28 pm.

Meanwhile the second victim, a 31-year-old of male of Hatton remain hospitalized, also nursing multiple gunshot wounds to his body. His injuries are serious; however, not life-threatening.
