82-Year-Old In Viral Video Faces Six Charges

Steadman Scotland, commonly referred to as “Scotty,” is set to appear in court today Monday, facing multiple charges stemming from a controversial encounter with law enforcement.

Initially charged with battery and resisting arrest, it has been reported that a total of six charges has now been brought against the 82-year-old.

These charges include Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Battery on a Police Officer, Failing to Provide Name, Failing to Comply with Lawful Direction, and Threatening Language.

Scotland is currently on station bail and is expected to appear in court this morning

The incident occurred outside a barber shop in St John’s and was recorded on a cellphone, raising significant public concern regarding the conduct of the officers involved.

The footage captures two officers—one in plain clothes—physically escorting Scotland out of the shop.

According to sources, the confrontation originated from an alleged traffic violation that took place over the previous weekend.

Scotland, a long-standing community member and former driver for the U.S. Embassy, has described his routine trip for a haircut that unexpectedly escalated into a violent confrontation.

His claims are particularly alarming in light of his recent medical history, having undergone brain surgery not long ago.

In response to the public outcry, the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda has announced that its Office of Professional Standards is conducting a formal review of the incident.

Police Cruelty. And old man you treating like this? How you behave to see another officer do your father or grandfather like this? I know he could be heard asking the officer what are the charges. They never answered. But now six charges against him? Hmmmmm. Corrupt system

This is total bullshit! The officers need to be fired for elderly abuse and overstepping their doggone boundaries. Write the man a ticket if it’s a traffic violation but we know all these charges are bogus and the whole incident could have been avoided . The officer was and still is seeking to exact revenge because the elderly man hurt his ego by commenting on his oral hygiene or lack thereof. The officer should have put his ego in his pocket. Now they all need to be fired for that heinous arrest…piling the man into the booth like he a doggone goat or trash!
