Prime Minister Gaston Browne says those wishing and plotting to destabilize his cabinet and government will be surprised at the level of unity that will emanate very soon.
Last week, Prime Minister Gaston Browne announced that Sir Robin Yearwood, a senior minister, would be appointed Deputy Speaker of the House, since he is transitioning, and this would be his last time serving in the Lower House.
However, over the past few days, claims have surfaced that Yearwood, having served almost five decades as an MP, is dissatisfied with his appointment, because – as the deputy speaker – he cannot hold a ministerial portfolio.
But Browne there is unity within his Cabinet where that matter is concerned, saying that the opposition operatives with a “subterfuge” agenda are trying to cause disquiet within his party.
“Sir Robin had to tell Asot Michael [MP for St Peter] today, to stop calling his phone. Can you imagine a man like Sir Robin who is so well accomplished, even financially…Asot calls to offer him a few million dollars not to accept the Deputy Speaker position” Browne said on his radio station Saturday.
Yearwood must be sworn in before the sitting of the first parliament carded for February 17th
All attempts to contact Asot Michael for comments proved futile.
Wow! What a thing SUBTERFUGE INDEED
Asor Michael is soon desperate for the reigns of power.
**Asot
**soooooooo
This does not make any sense. Asot offering Robin who is more wealthier than him millions not to accept an appointment in parliament. Either Asot’s light bulb went off upstairs or the PM is seriously more mentally sick than we thought.
I think it the last one “The PM more mentally sick than we thought “
