The family that lost their home to a devastating fire in Parham is set to move into a new house by the end of Sunday, just one week after the tragedy.
After the family of eleven lost their home, Senator Rawdon Turner took to social media to raise awareness, leading to the donation of materials through the HAPPY Program to rebuild their home.
Turner told Antigua.news that the construction began on Friday and is expected to be finished by Sunday.
“When it comes to people’s lives, we have to put politics aside,” he said. “At the end of the day, people will see who really cares.”
These efforts demonstrate the impact of love and unity during tough times and offer a glimmer of hope, showcasing the exceptional strength and compassion within the Parham community.
The rebuilding of the family’s home signifies the steadfast support and solidarity of its residents.
Senator Turner serves as the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party Caretaker for St. Peter.
Way to go Turner. Big up yourself. We love you in st Peter
I love to see the community’s efforts. This is what we need instead of relying solely on a broken government
Politicians always play politics. Even when they are doing it out of the goodness of their hearts they will always be seen as politicians
Beautiful just beautiful
Just make sure you win next elections. That is all..(in my sparrow voice)…
