The Wild Tamarind kitchen staff is finally able to breathe a sigh of relief after the departure of their former head chef. The chef’s management style had become a significant source of distress for the team.
Just a few weeks ago, the staff confided exclusively to Antigua.news about the demoralizing atmosphere fostered by the head chef.
“A few days after Antigua.news published our concerns, he was let go. We now have a new chef, and there is a palpable sense of happiness among us,” one team member expressed.
The staff recounted their experiences under the previous chef, a Caucasian man whose harsh management approach created a toxic work environment.
They described being subjected to long hours, compounded by the fear of making mistakes.
When errors occurred, staff members were often met with raised voices and hurtful insults, which only added to the already stressful conditions.
Now, with a new leader at the helm, the atmosphere in the kitchen has begun to shift toward one of collaboration and positivity.
