Social Security responds to protesting woman

It has come to the attention of the Antigua & Barbuda Social Security Board (ABSSB), about a picket which took place on February 14′, 2023, at our Long Street Branch led by the daughter of one of our beneficiaries.

The ABSSB wishes to advise that we have been in dialogue with the beneficiary, and that her application for survivor’s benefit was in fact completed 2022.

However, after thorough investigations it was realized that owing to a technical issue her payment was inadvertently omitted from our monthly pension payment cycle.

We have since apologized to our beneficiary for the inconvenience that this
situation has caused but are heartened by the realization that continued dialogue strengthens our commitment to “grow to provide for you”
