An eight-year-old girl from Parham died suddenly on Saturday at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center, after complaining of stomach pains.

According to reports, the child arrived at the hospital at 2:05 am on the said day, complaining of abdominal pain, vomiting, and difficulty breathing.

After multiple tests, it was revealed that the child was suffering from acute myocarditis with complete heart blockage, overwhelming sepsis sororities, and pericarditis.

The family of the child says she started with a fever after school and then a stomach ache after school on February 15th.

The child was not eating much and was given medication to settle her stomach to prevent vomiting from the pharmacy, according to reports.

She did not improve and was taken to the hospital where she died.

A coroner inquest touching her death will be conducted as police continue to investigate the matter.
