Lawmen in St Kitts and Nevis have not been able to find Nicholas Santana, the Antiguan, and Barbudan who escaped from the St Peters Community Center there

Santana is the man who allegedly captained the La Belle Michelle, which sank with 32 people off the Coast of St Kitts and Nevis on March 28 when the vessel encountered engine problems. It is believed that 14 people perished on that dangerous journey to St Thomas

Commissioner of the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force, James Sutton, told State Media that the fugitive is 53 years old and is the only one still on the run after 9 people had escaped from the center.

30 Cameroonians were onboard that vessel and only 14 of them had been rescued. Santana and another Antiguan national were also rescued.

  1. It’s people like Nicholas Santana a Dominican Republic native after become Naturalize citizen of Antigua and Barbuda then gone around the world with a Antigua and Barbuda passport doing crimes and make Antigua and Barbuda looks bad then run back to their homeland. It’s those things caused places like Canada was to imposed Visa requirements for Antigua and Barbuda citizen and natives alike
in which most of the time natives are not guilty of these criminals infraction

    • The majority of the crimes committed overseas by Antigua and Barbuda citizens are those who are non-nationals meaning they are not native-born of Antigua and Barbuda. I am sure that the statistics data will show the same results. The government need to be more careful about who citizenships are given too. We need a better system in place to thoroughly perform background security checks on everyone who applied for Antigua and Barbuda citizenship. Too many criminals are slipping through and getting our passports.
