One man is currently in police custody as investigations continue into the country’s first homicide for the year.

According to reports the man was detained and is currently being questioned following leads from the public

On Monday afternoon a Syrian lost his life after he was shot in the head by a young man who robbed the Pick ‘N Mix Mart on DeSouza Road where the 25-year-old worked.

He was pronounced dead at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center upon arrival
