The Honorary Consul of the Syrian Arab Republic has condemned what they said is false reports by a group of Syrians living outside of Antigua and Barbuda who claimed that their God Allah will take revenge for the killing of Roudi Shmaly who was shot in the head Monday.

In a statement released Wendesday, the Honorary Consul said they were in discussions with the police in the hopes that criminal activities will come to an end

The Honorary Consul also made a request for the story to be taken down.

Antigua.news did indicate in the original story that the letter which was making rounds on social media could not be authenticated

In addition our newsroom reported that those who wrote the letter are seemingly living outside of Antigua and Barbuda
