The cruise ship Arvia of P&O Cruise Lines will be overnighting in St. John’s Harbour during the upcoming cruise season, marking a major milestone in Antigua and Barbuda’s homeporting efforts.
The General Manager of the Antigua Cruise Port Ltd., Gasper George, emphasized the significance of homeporting and called for a unified approach to ensure its continued growth.
With 23 homeporting calls from seven vessels and six cruise lines scheduled for the upcoming seasons, there’s a lot to look forward to.
“For the upcoming seasons, we will have 23 homeporting calls from seven vessels and six cruise lines. The good news about all of this is that the Arvia of P&O Cruise Lines will be overnighting during the season. It will arrive on a Saturday and leave the Sunday. For this, we need to be on our ‘A’ game; we cannot be fighting each other; we have to collaborate as this business means a lot to us; to the people at the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority” he said during the Connect Conference organized by ACP today
