Ian Lewis Exits as Head of APUA’s Water Business Unit

Ian Lewis, APUA’s Water Business Unit Manager,

Ian Lewis’s time as head of the Water Business Unit at APUA concludes today.

Utilities Minister Melford Nicholas made this announcement, explaining that the change is part of a broader initiative to revamp the department and more effectively address the various water challenges facing the nation.

Minister Nicholas noted a significant evolution in the country’s water production methods over the past thirty years. Previously reliant on surface and underground sources, the majority of water is now generated through reverse osmosis plants.

To tackle the current issues confronting the Water Business Unit, changes are necessary, and Lewis’s replacement is part of this personnel restructuring. While a successor has yet to be determined, it’s anticipated that one of the department’s engineers will take on the role temporarily.

Furthermore, Minister Nicholas expressed confidence in the current General Manager, John Bradshaw, who has prior experience as a water manager and is expected to provide guidance during this transition period until a new manager is appointed.

A search for a new head of the Water Business Unit will commence shortly.
