“Clearly, we’re doing something right. If there were frequent flyer miles for all your stays, you’d be honorary citizens of Antigua and Barbuda!” he said with a chuckle. Resident Manager Mario Thomas conveyed the hotel’s immense respect and gratitude for the Campbells, marking this celebration as a ‘truly remarkable milestone.’ “Today, we honor your choice to make Hawksbill Hotel your sanctuary not just once or ten times, but an incredible 100 times,” he stated with appreciation.

Responding, Hugh Campbell conveyed heartfelt thanks to everyone who gathered to share in their celebration.

He reminisced about the joy he and his wife have experienced during their visits, dating back to the late 1980s.

The celebration was made even more special by the presence of Clarence ‘Sir Oungku’ Edwards, leader of the Burning Flames band, whose music the Campbells have cherished during Carnival time at the Lion’s Den.

As a token of appreciation, the Campbells were presented with a delightful gift basket filled with local treats, a stunning painting of Hawksbill Beach by local artist Stephen Murphy, a commemorative plaque honoring their 100th visit, and a beautifully illustrated book, “Antigua and Barbuda: Absolutely Beautiful,” showcasing breathtaking photography by Joseph Jones.
