Antigua and Barbuda will be included in the rotation for hosting future CHTA Marketplace events.
That’s according to the President of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA), Sanovnik Destang.
He made these remarks while expressing admiration for the local organizers of the Caribbean Tourism Marketplace 2025, currently underway at the American University of Antigua Conference Room near Jabberwock Beach.
Destang’s comments came during a warm welcome to Prime Minister Gaston Browne at the event on Tuesday.
He acknowledged the challenging weather conditions that preceded the marketplace, noting that the team’s resilience and creativity allowed the event to proceed smoothly.
“I’m pleased to confirm that Antigua and Barbuda will officially be part of the CHTA Marketplace rotation for future events,” he stated.
In response, Prime Minister Browne expressed his gratitude for Destang’s words and the commitment to return the CHTA Marketplace to Antigua and Barbuda at some point down the line.
“Historically, we in the Caribbean have shown remarkable resilience, and this event is a testament to that spirit. I’m thrilled to hear that everything is going well—truly, ‘de conference sell-off’,” he commented.
