Home Invasion and Robbery at Gunpoint reported

On Sunday, a resident of Donavans reported a home invasion where he was robbed at gunpoint.

The man alerted the Grays Farm Police Station, stating that an unknown intruder had broken into his home and stolen $1,500.00 in cash.

According to reports from the law enforcement officers who responded to the call, the victim described the assailant as a male approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, slimly built, dressed in black clothing, and wearing gloves.

He recounted that after waking to use the bathroom, he found the intruder in his house. The intruder brandished a firearm and demanded money.

Feeling threatened for his life, he complied and handed over his black wallet, which contained the cash.

The suspect fled the scene through the same northern aluminum kitchen window they had accessed, which was found closed but unlocked.

According to reports a key had been carelessly left in the kitchen door, enabling easy entry for the intruder.

Law enforcement quickly launched a search for the suspect based on the victim’s description; however, their efforts were unsuccessful.
