Police seek information about two separate robbery incidents

The police are urgently requesting the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding two separate robbery incidents that occurred on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

The first incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. at a local cook shop on Fort Road. The shop’s proprietor reported that two armed men, dressed in black hoodies and white masks, entered the establishment and threatened an employee before stealing a phone.

Later the same evening, at approximately 10:02 p.m., another robbery was reported at a supermarket in Sutherlands. The owner stated that two masked individuals, armed and dressed in grey hoodies, white masks, and red and grey pants, entered the store and forcefully took a cash register containing an undisclosed amount of money.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed these incidents or has any relevant information to come forward. The Criminal Investigations Department can be reached at 462-3913, and tips can also be submitted anonymously via Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (8477). All information provided will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

In light of these events, the Police Administration emphasizes the importance of vigilance for business owners, particularly during closing hours. Residents are encouraged to stay alert and report any suspicious activity to the authorities promptly.
