PM Browne Offers Condolences Following Tragic Shooting of George Charlie Barnes

Prime Minister Gaston Browne has joined in expressing condolences to the family of George Charlie Barnes, who was shot and killed by a lone gunman on Friday night at his Ottos home.

During his weekly radio program, PM Browne used the opportunity to speak about the shooting of the petrol station proprietor.

He said the government will continue to fight crime across the nation at all costs.

  7. As a Dominica 🇩🇲 living in the US 50 plus years, I have a lot of Dominican family living in Antigua, I planned on spending my winters between my 2 favorite Islands. With all these senseless murders, rapes and armed robberies makes me feel like that would be getting out of The pot n into the fire. I have seen it all in NY, I worked in the killing fields of NY. It is shameful, shameful that two of the most beautiful Caribbean islands I love so much have leaders who don’t love their people enough to drastic measures to curb these senseless crimes and violence.

    Shame on both Islands, 🇩🇲 n Antigua!!!
