Jamale Pringle, UPP leader and All Saints and St. Luke MP-elect reflects on his victory and the way forward for his party
United Progressive Party leader Jamale Pringle vows to advocate for his party in Parliament as he returns to be the lone UPP seat in Parliament—a return to the 2018 general election results.
In a brief interview following last night’s results, Pringle congratulated the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party on its victory while dismissing any notion that a narrow margin diminishes his win.
ABLP’s Lamin Newton came within touching distance from winning the seat before a surge of votes in the Old Road community pushed Pringle over the edge.
“Whether I win by one vote or by ten votes, you are the winner. There is no second place in politics,” he said. “The fact is we maintain the seat, and we will continue to maintain All Saints East and St Luke in the column of the United Progressive Party.”

Pringle brought this upon himself. All he needed to do was step aside. He caused this great defeat. Idiot
Good morning to all who watching. Chupzzzzz. Let me go back to my warm bed
