It was reported that a couple were at the said beach when two armed suspects robbed them of a fanny pack containing a mobile phone and money.
The assailants were dressed in dark clothing and wearing masks.
It was further reported that they sped away from the area in a small silver motor car with an unknown registration number.
The alleged incident occurred around 9:30 am on Monday.
The police are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or call the St. Johns Police Station at 462-0045.
Meanwhile, the Police Administration has strongly condemn this type of behavior toward visitors and residents alike, and has put tighter security measures in place to ensure everyone’s safety.
