An earthquake, with a magnitude of 4.7 was recorded in the northeastern Caribbean this morning and according to the UWI Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC), it had a depth of 10km.
There have been several small earthquakes over the past few weeks. This morning’s quake struck at about 5:17.
According to the Automatic Earthquake Location from the UWI-SRC, the quake struck:
- 277 km, North of Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis.
- 303 km, north-northwest of Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda.
- 393 km, northeast of Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
