Alleged Carlisle Bay Shooter Remanded

Carlisle Bay employee 24-year-old Frederick Henry has been remanded to His Majesty’s Prison by Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel

Henry made his first court appearance at the District B Magistrates Court this morning.

Henry, of Golden Grove, is facing charges of attempted murder; shooting with intent to murder, and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

He allegedly shot two of his co-workers last week Tuesday as they left work.

33-year-old Dean Anthony and 32-year-old Morrisa Henry were shot multiple times just as they clocked out from work.

They were attacked in the parking lot according to reports.

Henry received gunshot wounds to her chest and abdomen. A bullet also grazed her head. After Henry was shot, the shooter allegedly stabbed her several times in the body.

Anthony was also shot multiple times including his shoulder and leg. He was however able to walk to the lobby of the hotel, unlike Henry who remained bleeding on the ground.

Both employees are still at the Intensive Care Unit of the country’s main hospital

Henry is expected to apply for bail in the High Court since a magistrate cannot offer bail on certain serious charges including Attempted Murder.

He will return to the Magistrates’ Court on July 12 for committal proceedings.
