Robbers Flee Vehicle During Police Chase

29 November 2023 - 22:28

Law enforcers have seized a vehicle they were chasing, after its occupants abandoned it and fled Wednesday.

Police say they spotted the silver Toyota Mark X which they suspect had just been used during a robbery at a superette in Cedar Valley late Wednesday afternoon.

Police were in hot pursuit when the robbers abandoned the vehicle in the St Johnston’s Village area shortly before 6pm. They left behind their loot in the vehicle: a cash register they had allegedly stolen from the superette as well as cellular phones.

Police say the vehicle may also have been used by hoodlums to commit other criminal activities.

Anyone with information which can assist law enforcers to nab the robbers, is being asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or Crimestoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).

  1. I hope the police handle the evidences with good care for fingerprints and DNA. DNA can be found from the sweat or saliva on the items and the vehicle. The police need to chrome the vehicle . I hope they have the tools and equipment to lift the DNA samples off the vehicle and items.
