
Health Minister Sir Molwyn Joseph Speaks with Late Dr Carissa Etienne
The Minister of Health, Wellness, Social Transformation, and the Environment is deeply saddened by the loss of Dr. Carissa Etienne, a renowned public health expert from Dominica.
Dr. Etienne served as the Director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and Regional Director for the Americas of the World Health Organization (WHO) (2018-2023).
The Minister expresses sincere condolences to Dr. Etienne’s family, colleagues, and the PAHO community during this difficult time. The Minister has had the privilege of working closely with Dr. Etienne over the years and recognizes her exceptional commitment and humility.
