Joel Rayne, political hopeful for the St. George Constituency under the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP), has facilitated the donation of over 30 mobility aids and devices to the physically challenged and elderly in the community. This initiative marks a significant step toward fostering inclusion, independence, and dignity for all members of society.
In reflecting on the effort, Rayne emphasized that mobility is a fundamental right, not a privilege.
“This effort is about so much more than providing equipment—it’s about ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of independence, dignity, and opportunity,” said Rayne. “With every device donated, we’re breaking barriers, restoring freedom, and reminding people that they are seen, valued, and supported.”
The donation includes a variety of essential mobility devices, such as walkers, wheelchairs, and canes, tailored to meet the needs of beneficiaries. The initiative underscores Rayne’s commitment to building a more inclusive community where everyone—regardless of physical ability—has access to the tools and support they need to thrive.
“Together, we can build a world where inclusion is not just an ideal but a reality,” Rayne added. “When we uplift one another, we ensure that no one gets left behind.”
Rayne expressed gratitude to the community partners and supporters who contributed to the success of this effort.
This donation highlights the importance of collective action in addressing the challenges faced by vulnerable groups. It also serves as a call to other stakeholders to continue creating opportunities for inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment.
