Two men have been arrested and charged with multiple offenses related to the unlawful possession of firearms, ammunition, and bulletproof vests in Antigua and Barbuda.
Wayne Knowles, 25, and Shiloh Martin, 22, both residents of Liberta, were taken into custody following a police raid on Wednesday, October 16.
The operation, which involved the execution of a search warrant at Table Hill Gardens in Liberta, uncovered a cache of illegal weapons and protective gear.
The two men have been jointly charged with unlawful possession of one Taurus .40 Pistol with 10 matching rounds of ammunition, possession of one Smith and Wesson 9mm Pistol with ten matching rounds of ammunition, possession of two 9mm Magazines, and unlawful possession of four Ballistic vests.
During the raid, police discovered these items on a property occupied by both accused and several others, including three juveniles.
All occupants were initially arrested and taken into custody, though it appears charges have only been filed against Knowles and Martin at this time.
