A 29-year-old man is in police custody following the stabbing of a 14-year-old girl in Lightfoot on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bethesda resident surrendered to St John’s Police on Thursday morning with his attorney by his side.
He is being questioned regarding the alleged stabbing, which injured the girl in the back; fortunately, her injuries are not life-threatening, and she is receiving medical treatment.
According to initial reports from ABS News, the man arrived at a home where his daughter was staying with a guardian shortly after 2 PM on Wednesday.
He became enraged when he could not find his daughter, who was being picked up from school.
This confrontation ultimately led to the stabbing of the 14-year-old, the granddaughter of the woman caring for the suspect’s daughter.
