Prime Minister Browne urged those in opposition not to dismiss these opportunities simply based on party affiliation, describing it as “total ignorance” to forgo potential empowerment through investment.

To bolster accessibility, Browne suggested innovative financing options, such as using existing properties for collateral to secure investments.

In detailing the project’s structure, the Prime Minister explained that instead of a single large hotel occupying 40 acres, only 6 acres are designated for that purpose.

The decision to subdivide the remaining land into individual lots caters to local preferences, as many citizens are more inclined to purchase land to build rather than buy shares in companies.

This strategic approach aligns with the growing trend in tourism, particularly in the Airbnb market, where approximately 35% of visitors to Antigua and Barbuda opt for such accommodations.
